All-On-4® Treatment Concept
Washington, DC

Rendering of All-on-4 treatment concept at City Smiles DC in Washington, DCHere at City Smiles DC we offer the All-on-4 Treatment Concept, which is a cost-efficient solution for tooth replacement. We will go out of our way to ensure that you get a fabulous fixed full-arch prosthesis.

The All-on-4 Treatment Concept uses four dental implants that are placed on the upper and lower jaws. Once the four implants have been placed in both the upper and the lower jaws, the full-arch prosthetic teeth are added. We will assist you in getting the All-on-4 Treatment Concept if you have missing teeth that you wish to have replaced.

The All-on-4 implant procedure offers hope to patients who may have given up on the possibility of ever getting back their once elegant and natural smile and looks. The concept offers patients the benefit of having dentures that look and feel natural, unlike the other types of dentures that have to be taken off and cleaned regularly.

So What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants, a type of restorative dentistry, are small posts, usually made from titanium, that are designed to act as the new root of the teeth. These posts are installed just below the patient's gums at specific angles to help support the dentures. This helps to firmly keep and support the dentures for your benefit.

While dental implants that are often used in various dental procedures are usually in a vertical manner, when being used in the All-on-4 Treatment Concept, the ones at the rear are installed in a somewhat slanted position. The concept offers the best solution for those patients who have tried other dental procedures to no avail. Using this method, our highly skilled dental specialists as well as our expert and qualified dentists will come to your aid to help you get back your once youthful and elegant smile.

How is the All-on-4 Treatment Concept Performed?

Many patients will get a little jittery when they hear about dental implants being recommended to them. While that is understandable, our patients can rest assured that they are in the safest of hands with our team of dental experts. Our team will help to ensure you are as comfortable as possible on the day and that you feel little discomfort afterward.

Implants sometimes require bone grafting, but this is not necessary with the All on 4 dental implant procedure. This is because the procedure can use the bone that is already available. This results in shorter treatment times and decreased discomfort for our patients.

How Long Does It Take to Recover from the Procedure?

The length of time to make a full recovery from the procedure will vary from patient to patient. Some people may be fully comfortable with them after a few weeks, although others may take some time longer.
